Franklin Melton "Bill" Williams' Obituary
Franklin Melton “Bill” Williams, a resident of Pearland, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2007 at the age of 79 years. Bill was born June 23, 1927 in Lyford, Texas to the late Arthur O. and Josephine Marie (Garcia) Williams. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Bill was a station-tender in the oil field industry by trade and was an avid game hunter.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Debora Marie Williams, brother, Arthur, Jr. and sister, Bernice. He is survived by a loving family; his son and daughter-in-law, David and Robin Williams, of Pearland; daughter and son-in-law, Donna Elaine and Terry Johnson, of Tyler; grandchildren, David Bo Anthony Williams, Tarina Amil Williams, Joshua Randell Tapp, Christina Jean Shene’ Tapp, Shawn Andrew Jackson Milton Williams, Connie Jeree Thorne and Rebecca C. Johnson; great grandchildren, Paul Thorne, IV and Morgan Rose Thorne; cousins, Wanda Hamilton and Lucille Tyler; niece, Priscilla Ann Wood; and numerous other cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 28, 2007, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, in Pearland. Graveside services and interment will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 29, 2007, at the Morton Cemetery in Richmond, Texas with Rev. Bill Cole officiating.
