View Tribute Book Freida Hazelton Holden was born in Gunter, TX on October 29, 1940 to Roy and Katie Hazelton. She is preceded in death by: Her parents, Roy and Katie. Brother: Leaman Hazelton, In-Laws which she loved like brother and sisters: Virginia Hazelton, Bessie Hazelton, Ouida Hazelton and Ernie Watson. Nephew: David Logan. Niece: Laurie Hazelton. Husband: Curtis Holden, Jr. Freida is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Rachael Holden. Grandchildren: Joel Holden and fiancée Melanie; Anna Holden; Gwendolyn Holden; and Clark Holden. Brothers: Valton Hazelton and Merrill Hazelton and wife Nita. Sister: LaDelle Watson. Nephews, nieces and cousins she dearly loved: Too many to count. Best Friend: Janice Willhoite.Freida was the fourth of five children. When she was 17, her family moved to Beaumont, TX and she subsequently lived in Phoenix, Arizona; Lake Jackson, TX; Galveston, Texas; Houston, TX and finally Pearland, TX for the last 50 years. She received a degree in English from Lamar University in Beamont and worked for the Social Security Administration for over 40 years. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and served as Regent for her local Chapter. She was also the Committee Chairman for Boy Scout Troop 464. She enjoyed exercising and was an aerobics instructor for the City of Pearland for many years. Freida was baptized at the Valley Church of Christ in Gunter when she was very young and was a member of Westside Church of Christ in Pearland for over 50 years. She took her duties as a Christian mother very seriously and was always positive about friends, family and fellow disciples of Christ.
