Mary and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Gerard's passing. His quick smile and loving embrace embodied God's loving kindness in this world. Each time I saw him, he always remembered me and how I used to play the organ. I remember my childhood visits to your mom's house and how Gerard and I used to jump on the trampoline. I especially remember the times when we would see one another and while we talked, he would turn and scold his make believe "mother-in-law" and then turn back to me and smile. Please know you and your family are in my prayers for I know Gerard is with both your mom and our Lord.
