Glen Charles Opel's Obituary
Glen Charles Opel, 94, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alma Opel; and his loving wife, Sarah Opel. Glen is survived by his sons, Kent Opel and wife, Linda, Craig Opel and wife, Jan; daughter, Elyse Kettler and husband, Ted; brother, Paul Opel and wife, Louis; sisters, Jean Hagemeier, June Pape, Naomi Weller and husband, Jack; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Glen was a resident of Pearland since 1962. He and his wife, Sarah, enjoyed life’s experiences together for 63 years and collected a multitude of friends where they lived in Colorado, Oklahoma, Louisiana, England, Norway, Malaysia, and Texas as well as in other parts of the world where they visited. Glen will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A visitation for Glen will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 9:00 until 11:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Weston Price and Lyle Schober officiating.
