View Tribute Book Gordon Dean Rogers, 70, of La Porte, Texas passed away Friday, September 22, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents Ronald Gerald and Louise Smith Rogers. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Shelia Matthews Rogers; son Bennie Row (Colleen); daughter Crystal Bresett (Mike) (Ted Duke), brother Ronald Keith Rogers (Charlotte); sister Michelle Joyner (Steve); grandchildren Cameron, Alyssa, Brittany, Ryan, and Christian; four great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.Gordon was born in Salina, Kansas on June 21, 1953, to Ronald Jerald and Louise Smith Rogers. He grew up with a servant’s heart and served his community well. Gordon served 25 years in law enforcement, as a Police officer in Lomax and La Porte, retiring from the La Porte Police Department. He also served for many years on the Sound Committee of the Pasadena Livestock and Rodeo. Gordon will be missed by all who knew and loved him!A memorial service celebrating Gordon’s life will be held Saturday October 14, at the Clayton Funeral Home Chapel 201 S 3rd St. in La Porte.
