View Tribute Book Hannelore Weiz Bohlmann, 91, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023. She is preceded in death byher parents Walter and Klara Weiz. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, David BohlmannSr; daughters Eileen Bohlmann, Melody Bohlmann, Nadine Profitt and husband, Robert; son DavidBohlmann Jr. and wife, Melinda; brothers Eugene Weiz, Harry Weiz; sister Inga Weiz; grandchildrenGarrett, Tiffany, and a host of many other family and friends.Hannelore was born on December 4, 1931, in Leipzig Germany. She lived through World War II andescaped from East Germany as a refugee to Berlin. She migrated to Mannheim, GE, where she met herhusband David Bohlmann, Sr., who was serving in the US Army. During their tenure with the military,the family grew and moved frequently. Hannelore was proud to be a military wife and a transplantedTexan. Upon David’s retirement, their final move was to Houston, Texas. Hannelore and David weremarried for 66 years.She was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family dearly. She cherished her grandchildren andloved spoiling them. Hannelore was a very compassionate person and extremely meticulous and orderlyin everything she did. She was an avid Astros fan and loved cheering her team on. She also loved playingboard games and card games. Hannelore had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening and raising houseplants. She loved yellow roses. She was a wonderful cook and especially enjoyed trying new recipes. Inher spare time, she enjoyed reading, loved listening to music, and she liked to dance. She loved listeningto Elvis as well as classical music, and she also liked going to watch movies at the theater. Hannelore willbe greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.Services for Hannelore will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, inPearland, Texas. The visitation is scheduled from 9:00 – 10:00 am. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00am, with Father Jim Courville will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Houston National Cemeteryin Houston, Texas, at 12:30 pm. Online condolences may be left for the family atwww.claytonfuneralhomes.com
