Herman Richard Remmers' Obituary
Herman Richard Remmers Jr., age 77 of Houston, passed away unexpectedly on June 17, 2009. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman Sr. & Vera (Rothbauer) Remmers; brother, Robert Remmers; and sister, Evelyn Remmers. He is survived by his cousins, Frank & Kathleen Bogar, Georgie Mae Mendel, and Frances Winfield; and a host of many other family & friends.
Herman was born on October 12, 1931 in Moulton, Texas and resided in the Houston area for more than 50 years. He was a very quiet and religious man who was an active member at St. Jerome Church in Houston. Herman enjoyed a lifelong career as an accountant. In his spare time he loved reading history, watching t.v., and dining at Mexican restaurants–the spicier the better! He was also a vintage car enthusiast. Herman’s gentle spirit will be fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved him.
A Memorial Service for Herman will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, 10:00 am at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 8825 Kempwood Drive, Houston, Texas 77080, 713-468-9555. The inurnment will immediately follow at 11:15 am at Houston National Cemetery.
