Jack Herbert Horn, age 89, of Pearland, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2009. He is preceded in death by his parents, Horace & Rosa Marie (Schroeder) Horn; daughter, Dianne Bates; son, David Crawford; and sisters, Marjorie Wil Read Obituary
Margie, we were very sad to learn about Jack. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this most difficult time. Both of you have been thought of often and have been greatly missed at the “Y” during the recent months.
There are no words to give comfort at this time. Please just know that you all are in our prayers.

I worked with Jack at the Port of Houston from 1968 (only four of us in the Civil Section at that time) until his retirement in 1986, I remember he was always very helpful and knowedgeable at work. I learnt a lot engineering design skills from him, espically the railroad track design. Once a while he would tell us some funny jokes to keep us loose up a little bit when the work load piled up. Everyone at Port likes him even Peggy B.
He left behind a lot of great memories for all of us. He will be greatly missed by many of us and will be in our hearts always. Eddie
