James Hugh Eugene Averitt, 67, passed away April 23, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Opal Averitt; and sister, Marilyn Averitt. James is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Wanda Averitt; son, Edwin Av Read Obituary

Joyce & I would like to offer our condolences to the other family members and friends. Eugene was my baby brother and loved his famiy. Me being nine years his senior we didn’t have a lot in common. But he was my brother none the less, and I have many fond memories of our conversations through the years usually trying to fix all the wrongs in the world. Our prayers go out to our nieces and nephews in this trying time.
I will miss Uncle Gene. He was such a character! I am sure that he is “on watch” up in heaven now. I am thankful that he is no longer in pain. Peace be with all of his family… May God rest his soul. I will not be able to be there this weekend, but will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.
