James Edward Sparks

James Edward Sparks, 37 years old of Houston, Texas, lived life to the fullest. Typical of his giving spirit, he gave the gift of life to seven recipients and their families on May 6, 2008. Known to his family and friends as “Bear”, he never passed up the opportunity to spend time with his family, always the most important thing to him.
If there was family, friends, food and fun, Bear’s answer was “I’m there!” The only thing better was fishing with his Dad and brothers or riding his “bike” with his friends.
Those that will miss him most are his son, Bailey Sparks; his mother Sandy Monzingo; his father Joe Dan Sparks and “Gamma”; his sisters Alison Bess, Jessica Zaruba and Brandi Aiken; his brothers Greg Bess, Adam Aiken and Marcus Zaruba; nieces Taylor, Logan, Sadie and Michaela; Grandmother Bobbie Tingle; Grandfather Tom Davis; and a host of other family and friends.
Bear, a life lived and a man loved.
Visitation will be held Friday May 9, 2008 at 6-8 PM at Paul U. Lee La Porte Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Saturday May 10, 2008 at 10 AM at the funeral home.
