We are all so sad to lose Jim. He had some really great stories about his younger days! He was a fine musician. I'll miss his 'cat house' piano style! He was a very sweet man, a true Southern gentleman. He will be missed, but he will stay in our hearts, always.
Jimmy was a high school classsmate and close friend of my husband, Tom Rogers of Lubbock. They spent many years making mischief and music while attending Lubbock High School and Texas Tech. Tom was the piano player for their dance band. When I met Tom in the Red Raider Band, then his close friend became my friend, as well.
We both extend our sympathy to Jimmy's family at his passing. He is lovingly remembered by these friends from his youth.
