The older I get, the more loss. Fly free Jeff, fly free.
Jeff was Mustang tough on the football field and even more so thru USMC Boot Camp, summer of ‘76. You could always rely on him thru thick or thin.
A little insight to his childhood comes through James' sharing of the ping of the tennis ball. As Jeff poked his head around the corner, James never miss throwing the tennis ball and pinging him dead center on the head every time. He also share Jeff's antic of fishing on the asphalt. As their dad was driving between League City and Friendswood, the roughly 10 year old Jeff pushed the Zebco button allowing line to escape out the back of the station wagon. He only caught cars as the lure popped and pinged the asphalt and swung through the curves into oncoming traffic. They laughed. Then there's the time Jeff took his share of watermelon and sat in Grandma Nildred's tree and spat the watermelon seeds onto her head as she innocently wandered below. Great memories of typical boys. Always an adventure. James will cherish the memories forever.
Q: What 3 words best describe Jeffry and why?
A: Solid as a Rock
I'm so saddened for Jenny, Jillian & Issac, he was an amazing father, he sure loved his children and his grandchildren! He was tough, but he sure taught his children well! Jeff was a very private man, I was married to him, many years ago! Jeff was such a hard worker, a warped sense of humor, but he was so funny. I was blessed that when I remarried that we all blended in and remained family through it all! We will all miss his political text and there were tons of them! We will all miss calling him for advice on how to fix things, the man could fix anything! Jeff was a good man, a tremendous father and leaves a legacy of 3 amazing children, I mean loving, well adjusted, mannered, kind, respectful children, that is a legacy to be proud of! And the grandchildren loved, I mean loved their "Doodad"! Rest in Peace Jeff, you were loved by many!
