Talented, witty, wry, cheerful, upbeat, supportive, caring, dedicated, professional–these words come to mind to describe Jennie. She lit up everyone’s life whenever she was around.
So sorry for your loss…our thoughts are prayers are with Jennie’s family.
So sorry to hear the news, and sorry I can’t make it. I always enjoyed working with Jennie. She was always upbeat and a great performer with whom to share a stage.
Jennie and I only got to know each other while waiting for auditions, usually up for the same role. But I could see the funny and easy to be with spirit in her. Watching her on stage, I always admired her beautiful voice, and her comic timing. She was a true talent. John, I hope you will have loved ones around you as you head forward and know that Jen is at peace but her energy is still with us.
I will always be in awe of Jennie’s vivacity, flirtaceousness, and general love of everything she pursued. I, too, can testify to her talents from a young age, having been subjected to the 8mm movies of all her recitals from an early age in the Welch basement in Champaign. She will be dearly missed, but will remain alive in our thoughts and memories of her.
Know that you all remain in my thoughts and prayers… Love, Hal
I met Jennie when I was a bright eyed kid new to the theater community. I remember her being warm and sassy and fabulous! I had the pleasure of working with her several times throughout the years, and always enjoyed her talent, her quirky sense of humour, and her wonderful laugh. She will be dearly missed.
John,
I knew Jennie and family from Sunday School in Champaign-Urbana. She was always a delight. John, I am so sorry for your loss — but I do know her shining qualities do not dim. For that, I am grateful.
So stunned and saddened to hear of Jenny’s passing. I always deeply admired her great comic style on a stage and was thrilled when I heard I’d get to work with her back in ’04 in “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” at Stages. She was very gifted. A huge loss. My condolences to you, John as well as her family.
Saddened by the loss of such a funny, talented and adorable girl, we send our heartfelt condolences to John, who has been such a wonderful and caring husband for Jennie… .. She will be greatly missed…
