Jennie L. Talbot's Obituary
Jennie L. Talbot passed away Friday, January 15, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents Gordon and Sophie Forbes; and sister, Anna Forbes Hurst. Left to cherish Jennie’s memory are her loving husband, of 68 years, Carl Talbot; Son, Rick Talbot and wife, Hilda; grandchildren, Kelly Ingrando and husband, Bryan; great grandchildren, Joe, Trent, and a host of other dear family and friends.
Jennie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who cherished time spent with her family. She grew up in Pearland, Texas where she graduated from Pearland High School in 1951. As a young girl Jennie enjoyed working at her parents’ store, Forbes Supermarket, where she had to stand on a box to be able to help customers. Jennie later worked for 13 years and retired from the St. Luke Blood Bank. In her leisure time Jennie loved to be outdoors, spending time at the beach, and fishing at her favorite spots. She and Carl owned beach houses in Galveston and later at Sargent Beach. Her greatest joy was spending time with family, but especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jennie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services for Jennie will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas. Visitation is scheduled from 10:00 – 11:00 am. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
