Jeremy William Hefley's Obituary
JEREMY WILLIAM HEFLEY, 36, of La Porte, left this physical world on April 12, 2026, after a courageous battle with astrocytoma brain cancer.
Jeremy was born on September 28, 1989, at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital in Houston, Texas. He attended Bayshore Elem, Lomax Junior High and La Porte High School, where he made numerous lifelong friends, including the Sens Road Crew (“SRC”).
Jeremy had a deep love for music and could often be found playing his bass guitar and jamming with friends. He also enjoyed drawing, building, and creating. A skilled carpenter, Jeremy designed and built long-lasting structures, fences, and unique art pieces. His ability to see beauty and purpose in discarded items led him to start his small business, Reclaimed Crafts, where he proudly shared his creations by word of mouth and at local arts and crafts shows.
Many of his family and friends cherish the large Jenga-style block sets and cornholes he created, branded with different sports teams—pieces that will continue to bring people together and keep Jeremy’s memory alive for years to come.
Jeremy is survived by his mother, Lori Rebecca Hefley; his father, William Allen Lewton III; his beloved children, Jasper Cash and Lakyn Grace (and their mother, Ashley); his brother, Ryder Denais; his grandfather, Richard Hefley; his grandmother, Elaine C. Lewton; his grandfather, William Allen Lewton, Jr.; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, the Sens Road Crew, and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Patsy Hefley; his uncle, Joe Hefley; his cousin, Parker Adams; and other beloved family members.
