Jerry Glenn Guest's Obituary
Jerry Glenn Guest passed away at home, on Monday, January 06, 2026, at the age of 72. Jerry was born to Troy and Opal Guest in Pasadena, Tx on September 8, 1953. He was a lifelong resident of La Porte, Tx and was very passionate about his community. He worked as a chemical plant operator for DuPont for many years before retiring and “never getting a day off”.
His family and friends will remember him as a loving family man. He loved his wife, children, and his grandchildren very much. He was known for his love of fishing, outlaw hunting at Arizona Creek Wildlife Association, poker playing, and the language he invented that we all eventually learned and loved. Jerry also had a great love for music. He played guitar well and enjoyed making music with his brother and nephew any chance he got.
Jerry is proceeded in death by his father Troy Guest and is survived by his mother, Opal Guest, his wife of 43 years Karen Guest, daughter Sunshine Davidson, son Travis Guest and his wife Samatha Guest, grandchildren, Cydney Timken, Ty Graffeo, Landen Graffeo, Nevaeh Guest (Poptart), Tobias Guest (Tobi Dan), brother David Guest and his wife Danel Guest, sister Joy Massey and her husband Ricky Massey and many nieces and nephews and other family members. He made impacts and lasting impressions on every person he crossed paths with. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation and funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Clayton Funeral Home, located at 201 S. 3rd Street, La Porte, Texas 77571. Visitation will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by the funeral service from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Grand View Funeral Home & Memorial Park, located at 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Chantilly Room following the graveside service.
