Flores, 87, of Friendswood, Texas, passed away on June 29, 2018. He is preceded in death by his mother, Guadalupe Contreras Flores; father and stepmother, Feliciano Flores and Matilda; son, Jaime Flores; brothers, Fred Flores, Ernest Flores, Sam Flores; sisters, Dora Dorantes, Beatrice Carrizales, Margaret Costilla, and Janie Cruz. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 62 years, Julia Flores; sons, Joseph Flores and wife, Jennifer, Roy Flores and wife, Irma; daughters, Cynthia Flores DeLeon and husband, Frank, Elva Flores Gamero and husband, Fernando; sisters, Eloise Garza and, Irene Petry; 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of other family and dear friends.Jimmie was a proud veteran who had many stories to share of when he served his country. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved football, especially the Texans. But most of all, Jimmie loved his wife Julia with all his heart, as she loved him. He was a great provider and wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Jimmie was a member of St. Helen’s Catholic Church for over fifty years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was strong in his faith and shared his love for the Lord with everyone around him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation for Jimmie will be held at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581, on Monday, July 2, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the rosary starting at 6:00 p.m. The funeral mass will take place at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, Texas 77581, on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at 10:00 a.m., with Father Jim Courville officiating. Interment will follow at Houston National Cemetery.
