View Tribute Book Jimmie Jo “JJ” Sutton, 70, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Wanda Johnson; stepfather Albert Grace Sr.; four husbands; brother Albert Grace; and grandson Justin Ortega. Left to cherish her memory are her son Michael David Doran (Michelle); daughter Regina Gallardo (Milo); brothers David Johnson (Bea), Bryan Grace (Tina); grandchildren Kimberly Gomez (Mario), Joshua Rodriguez, Tabitha Rodriguez, John Michael Gallardo (Allison), Katrina Rodriquez, Michael Doran Jr., Madison Gallardo, Christina Dominguez (Junior); great grandchildren Jacob Gomez, Christian Gomez, Matthew Dominguez, Anastasia Dominguez, Vannessa Dominguez; aunt and 2nd mother, Juanita McBee, who was affectionately known as “Aunt Dit”, and a host of many other dear family and friends. JJ was born in Houston, and raised in Pasadena, Texas. A Texas girl, Yellow Roses were her favorite flower. She moved to Southern California in her early thirties and lived there for fifteen years. She then moved to Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. JJ loved music. She especially loved listening and dancing to country music. Some of her favorites included Reba McEntire, Johnny Lee, and Mickey Gilley. JJ also loved Elvis. She always enjoyed looking her best and would have her hair, nails, and make up done. She would dress with matching accessories as well. JJ loved spending time outdoors. She loved the sun, water, and gardening. JJ also enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning strawberry jam and pickles, and making homemade ice cream. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services for JJ will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas. Visitation is scheduled from 9:00 – 10:00 am. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am., with Pastor Tony Mendoza officiating.
