John Edward Bearden Jr's Obituary
John Edward Bearden Jr, loving son, devoted husband, and proud father of four daughters, passed away on December 8th, 2025.
He was deeply loved by his family and cherished as a brother, husband, father, and friend. To those who knew him best, and to many who were fortunate to know him even briefly, John had a rare gift: he believed in the best in people. He encouraged others to see their own worth, often quietly nurturing confidence and hope in those around him.
Humble and reserved by nature, he also possessed a creative and spontaneous spirit that could surprise and delight. This was evident early in his life when he was selected as “Mr. Chapin” in 2016 at Chapin High School for his winning talent presentation, an honor that reflected both his creativity and quiet charisma.
A distinguished graduate of Chapin High School in El Paso, Texas, John was also a wrestling champion, demonstrating discipline, perseverance, and determination—traits that carried with him throughout his life.
He later served honorably in the United States Army and Army Reserve, achieving the rank of Sergeant. His service reflected his character: steady, selfless, and committed to something greater than himself. He was respected by fellow soldiers and remained beloved by classmates, friends, and family alike.
Above all, John was a family man. His love for his wife and daughters defined him, and his legacy lives on through them and through the many lives he touched with his kindness, integrity, and belief in others. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
A memorial service to honor John’s memory will be held at Clayton Funeral Home of Pearland on Saturday, February 28th, 2026, beginning at 10:00 am.
