John Gurrala's Obituary
John Paramanandam Gurrala, a resident of Pearland, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at the age of 85 years. Mr. Gurrala was born July 1, 1920 in India to Enoch Gurrala and Mariamma Padamutham. He retired from the Royal Indian Air Force and was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Pearland.
Mr. Gurrala is preceded in death by his wife, Ratnavathy Nama and is survived by a loving family; two sons and daughters-in-law, Vijay and Mary, and Isaac and Gladys; five daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and John Mark, Rachel and Prabhakar, Hana and Prakash, Jyothi and Raju, and Johnson and RatnaBabu; 15 grandchildren, Joseph, Robinson, Pamela, Deena, Kamal, Sam, Pramila, Ratna, Kohi, Ninu, Luke, Suveda, Prabode, Navoda and Cherry; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Friday, June 23, 2006, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, in Pearland. A celebration of Mr. Gurrala’s life will be held at 10 AM Saturday, June 24, 2006, at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 5515 W. Broadway, in Pearland. Interment will follow at Paradise South Cemetery, in Pearland.
