John C. Ladd, 76, of LaPorte passed away in a Houston Hospital Friday June 10, 2011. Born in Sudan Texas March 22, 1935, Retired from DuPont Chemical plant in LaPorte and had been a Volunteer Fireman for LaPorte Fire Dept. for over 30 yrs. Survivors include his Wife Robbie Nell Ladd of LaPorte, Daughter Paula Matranga and husband Joe of Friendswood, Sons John R. Ladd and wife Nancy of Houston, David K Ladd and wife Beth of Friendswood, Donald B. Ladd and wife Gina of LaPorte, Grandchildren are Janelle Canada and husband Kyle, Michelle Matranga, Bryan Ladd, Michael Ladd, Alicia Sanders and husband Mike, Christine Ladd, Amanda Ladd, and Audrey Ladd, Great Grandsons Michael Sanders II, and David Sanders. Services are Tuesday June 14, 2011 at 10:00 AM at First United Methodist Church in LaPorte with entombment to follow at Grand View Memorial park. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Monday from 5 to 7 PM.
