John Arthur McGee's Obituary
John Arthur McGee, born December 7, 1934, lived for his family, built a legacy, and passed away unexpectedly on September 27, 2010. John was a creative and gentle man. His memory will endure, not only among his family, but also in the parks, churches, and homes that retain the imprint of his own architectural style. He will be remembered always by Joan, his beloved wife of fifty years, his four children, Stephanie, Gregory, Julie, and Andrew, their spouses, and his ten loving grandchildren.
A private family mass will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010, at 11:30 AM in the St. Laurence Catholic Church Chapel, 3100 Sweetwater Blvd, Sugarland, TX 77479. Friends are cordially invited to a celebration of John’s life at 12:30 to 2:00 pm in the Church Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center or one’s own charity.
