John Elder Sims' Obituary
John Elder Sims, 42 of Houston, passed away suddenly in his sleep this Friday, September 15, 2006 after a long standing battle with a genetic heart disorder.
A beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, John is survived by his his wife Stephanie and children Tiffany, Justin, Kristin and Jacob; his mother Doris Sims; his siblings Mary Carter, Rachel Welle, and Mayme Kittman; his grandmother, Ruby Hammonds; and his cherished friend, Mike Rouse; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services commemorating John’s life will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, September 19, 2006, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway in Pearland. The family will receive friends before the ceremony from 1 PM – 2 PM. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
