John L. Tracy's Obituary
John Leonard Tracy passed away on February 12, 2009 in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents and son, John L. Tracy Jr. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Lou Tracy and their two children, Carol Jeanette Ogle and Lee Arwood Tracy & his wife, Nancy; three grandchildren, Lee Arwood Tracy, Jr., Shawn & Shane Tracy; brother, Ralph Tracy & his wife Helen of Hagerstown, Maryland; step-sisters, Mrs. Helen Krouse of Hagerstown, Maryland, and Mrs. Ralph McCulley of Hendersonville, Tennessee.
John was a navigator on a B29 during the Korean War and flew 44 missions. After the war, he graduated from the University of Houston and became a mechanical engineer. While working at Petrolite, he obtained his degree and then worked for Tuboscope for many years until his retirement.
Visitation for John is on Sunday, February 15, 2009 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 16, 2009 at 11:00 am in the Clayton Chapel. Dr. Bob Joiner of First United Methodist Church will be officiating. Interment will be at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
