Jon Edgar Sick's Obituary
Jon Sick, of Houston Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2026.
Jon was born in Amherst, Ohio on July 13, 1941. Jon was preceded In death by his parents, Clayton and Wilma Sick, his sister, Susan (Sick) McCallister, and his lifelong partner Judith Garnil.
Left to cherish his memory are his nephews, Ken McCallister, Ernest McCallister, William McCallister, nieces, Lynne (McCallister) Bowers and Leslie (McCallister) Kraynik and a host of many other family and friends.
Jon was raised in Brownhelm, Ohio and graduated from Firelands High School. Jon’s love for adventure, roller coasters, family. and friends prompted many return visits to Ohio over the years.
Shortly after graduating high school Jon joined the army. He served as in the medial corp and was stationed in Fort Meade Maryland among other places.
Jon made his way to Houston Texas where he met his lifelong love, Judith. They met while volunteering at a suicide prevention center. Together they continued their active lifestyle, traveling and enjoying life together until her passing in February of 2026.
Jon will be laid to rest alongside his beloved Judith in a private military service.
