Jose Eli Sosa's Obituary
Jose Eli Sosa, 86, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017. He is preceded in death by parents, Bacilio and Concepcion Sosa; his loving wife of 46 years, Hortencia Garcia Sosa; brother, Noe Corando Sosa; and sister, Zoila Castillo. Jose is survived by his daughter, Linda Garza and husband, Leonel; grandchildren, Elliot and Victoria Garza; and a host of other family and friends.
Jose was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a great provider for his family and set a wonderful example of hard work. Jose had an amazing sense of humor and enjoyed telling jokes and sharing stories of the “good old days.” He passed away peacefully with his daughter by his side. Jose was strong in his faith and found comfort in knowing that he would one day be reunited with Hortencia. He took great pride in his work and especially enjoyed wood work. Jose will forever be remembered for his caring nature and his willingness to help others in need. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation and rosary for Jose will be held Friday, February 3, 2017 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm with the Rosary recited at 6:30 pm. The funeral mass will take place Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 110 E. South Street, Alvin, Texas 77511. Interment will follow at SouthPark Resurrection Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
