Josefina Garcia's Obituary
Josefina Garcia, 95, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, Feliberto and Josefa Fuentes; husband, Maximo Garcia; brothers, Filipeberto and Ramon Fuentes; and sister, Berta Fuentes. Josefina is survived by sons, Maximo “Mike” Garcia and wife, Leticia, Ramon Garcia and wife, Rose, Danny Garcia and wife, Olivia; daughters, Consuela Alva, Rosa Magana and husband, Miguel, Cecelia Munoz, Linda Valenzuela; sisters, Elivia Hernandez, Estella Fuentes; fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Josefina was affectionately known to everyone as Grandma and she loved gardening. She had an amazing green thumb and could grow everything from fruits and vegetables to flowers and trees. Her mind stayed sharp her entire life and she enjoyed working all forms of puzzle books. Grandma’s greatest joy came from cooking for her family. She loved holidays and especially cherished spending time with all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grandma had a strong faith and always made a point to pray for others in need. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 am and the service will follow beginning at 11:00 am with Pastor Keith Anderson officiating.
