Joseph C. Lipari's Obituary
Joseph C. Lipari, a lifelong resident of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2007 at the age of 87 years. Joseph was born January 18, 1920 in Tickfaw, Louisiana to the late Leonardo and Antoinette (Cottone) Lipari.
Joseph proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum and enjoyed volunteering with Louisiana Special Olympics. Joseph was a parishioner of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond, a member of the Knights of Columbus, John F. Kennedy Council #2952 and was a life member of V. F. W. Post # 3652.
Joseph is survived by a loving family; two daughters, Janet Elaine Authement, of Mandeville, LA and Joanna Gassen, of Kingwood; son, Leonard J. ìLeoî Lipari, of Ponchatoula, LA; sister, Lena Varisco, of Rockford, IL; three grandchildren, Bridgette Michelle Lipari, Blake Adam Lipari and Karen Elaine Gassen.
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Monday, March 5, 2007, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond, LA Entombment will follow at Rose Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends before Mass, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
