View Tribute Book Joye Laverne Hilty Eden peacefully passed away on August 9, 2018 in Galveston, Texas. She was born on March 22, 1928 in Houston to Michael Ray and Mittie Hilty, graduated from Milby High School in 1946 and married her college sweetheart soon after graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1950. She raised their family in southeast Houston and Pasadena, and most recently resided in Pearland. Joye is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert “Bob” Eden. She is survived by her children Cindy Eden Campbell, Robert Michael Eden and wife Laura, Elizabeth Eden Kasper and husband Tim, all of Texas; five grandchildren; five nieces and two nephews. Pastor Greg Williams will officiate a celebration of Joye’s life at 11:00 am on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581, with visitation at 10:00 am prior to the service. Interment will follow in a private family ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to FaithSprings Baptist Church, 2551 O’Day Road, Pearland, Texas 77581.
