I worked with Juan for 15 - 20 years at Johnson Space Center. I considered him a great friend though after I moved away from the Houston area in 2009, I didn't keep in touch with him as frequently as I would have liked. But I really enjoyed talking to him every time I got the chance (as you know Juan could really carry on a conversation!). He was a great guy. I'm about a year older than him so I was very surprised and saddened to hear of his passing. My condolences to everyone in his family.

Juan's kindness, wisdom, and leadership were truly inspiring. He embodied the values of inclusivity, compassion, and excellence, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Though Juan may no longer be with us in person, his spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched and the lasting impact he made. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Juan's family during this difficult time. May they find comfort in knowing the profound and positive difference Juan made in the world.

Juancho, my dear friend. We roamed the halls of Colegio La Salle for many years. We also shared the many hours of study and social interaction, as school mates. Your brilliant mind shone at a young age, maturing and excelling as an award winning professional.
Though we never saw each other after leaving our beloved school, you were indelibly imprinted in my heart and mind. With the hope of roaming the halls of Heaven with you, I bit you Adieu for now.
