View Tribute Book Judith E. “Judy” Courville, 78, passed away peacefully Sunday April 2, 2023. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Jewel Townsend, and brothers Johnny Townsend and Harvey Townsend. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Clarence J. Courville; daughter, Robyn Schumacher and husband, David; son Kenny Courville and wife Terri; grandchildren Colton, Blake and Jason; great grandchild Ally, and a host of other family and friends.Judy was born in Depew, Oklahoma on November 14, 1944, to Earnest and Jewel Townsend. She was married to the love of her life, Clarence J. Courville, for 58 wonderful years. Judy worked in office management and accounting for several companies during her career.Judy cherished her family and was very active in their lives. She was a person that always put others first. She volunteered as Girl Scout Mom, Boy Scout Mom, Chauffer Mom, and Softball Coach. Judy was a wonderful cook and was especially known for her “Fluffy Meatloaf’. She loved anything and everything blue, it was her favorite color. In her spare time, Judy enjoyed cooking, reading and listening to music, especially Elvis. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.Services for Judy will be Friday April 7, 2023, at the Clayton Funeral Home Chapel, 201 S. 3rd Steet, in La Porte. The family will receive guest from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. The funeral service is scheduled at 1:30, with Deacon Richard Reyes officiating.
