He is preceded in death by his parents Neville and Sylvia Gomez. Karl had nine siblings, Merle Fleming and her husband, Osbert, Linda Saddington, Errol Caballero and his wife, Gloria, Lystra Toyloy, Annette Gomez, Lynette Gomez, Jennifer Gomez, Deborah Gomez, and Ray Gomez; one daughter Kristy Gomez and son Jermaine Gomez; two grandchildren Egypt and Xavier, as well as a host of many other family and friends. Karl was a friendly, kind-hearted soul who valued the closeness of his family. He retired from MD Anderson Cancer Center recently and was looking forward to his twilight years. He will be sorely missed for his fun-loving and caring spirit. A viewing for Karl will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm.
