Karol Janeene Cousins' Obituary
Karol Janeene Cousins was born on January 19, 1956, in Midland, Texas, and passed away on May 10, 2026, in Houston, Texas. Raised in San Antonio, Janeene carried her Texas roots with pride throughout her life and will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and quiet strength.
She was the beloved daughter of Bobbie Louise and Alton A. Parker and the second of four children. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings, Donna Parker Spencer and her husband Noel, Justin Parker and his wife Theresa, and Sharon Parker and her husband Paul Urbanek.
Janeene’s greatest joy was her son, Milton Harris Cousins III, born on January 19, 1996, who is now an attorney in Austin, Texas. She was deeply proud of him and treasured the life they shared.
A 1974 graduate of East Central High School, Janeene went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in nutrition from the University of Houston in 1979. She dedicated many years of service to the City of Houston Health Department, where she worked as a health inspector and epidemiologist from 1979 to 1996.
Faith remained an important part of Janeene’s life. She was raised in the Baptist Church and later continued her walk of faith with New Life Lutheran Church in Pearland. She also found joy in reading about Texas history, visiting art museums, and traveling whenever she could.
A Memorial service to celebrate Janeene’s life will be held on Thursday, June 11th, 2026, at Clayton Funeral Home of Pearland, beginning at 11:00 am.
