Charles Slanina
Ken was a “one of a kind soldier”, you’d want him on your side. You knew where he stood and knew he covered your back and got the job done. After his retirement, we stayed in touch and I got to really know him. He was a family man, a christian and a father figure to me.
I was blessed to visit with him at his home a few days before he went into the hospital. I gave him a Blessed St. Benedict medal and we all prayed together with Ria and Sylvia.
I will never forgot all the good times we had and all the laughter he spread. God Bless Ken’s family and may his Soul Rest In Peace!
