Rose LaNel Wilkinson Powell Burch died at home on Monday, April 9, after a long battle with Altzheimer’s disease.
LaNel was born June 16, 1921 in Sylvester Texas. She graduated from Ingleside High School, and married Russell Burch in 1938. After the war, they settled in Baytown until 1959, when they moved to La Porte. She was retired from Solvay America.
She was preceded in death by her children’s father, Russell Burch; husband Wayne Powell; daughter Judy Burch Chittenden; and grandson Rusty Davis. She is survived by her son Mike Burch and wife Wanda; daughter Susan Burch; grandchildren David Ramsey; Robert Burch (Eve); Michaelene Morrison (Tim); Jack, Steven (Tina) and Merry Hershberger; Great grandchildren Bryan and Heather Ramsey; Jeannie, Bryanna and Johnathan Morrison; Shelby Davis; Austin, Christy, Haley, Paul, Keith, James, and Devon Hershberger.
