Larry Altmeyer Allen Sr., aged 73, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, TX. He was a loving husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, and dear friend to many.
Born in Olla, Louisiana, Larry lived a life filled with love, laughter, and kindness. He was known for his warm smile, gentle demeanor, and unwavering generosity.
Larry worked as a Process Tech for Shell for over 37 years, where he was respected for his dedication and hard work. He approached every task with diligence and integrity, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of working with him.
In his free time, Larry enjoyed traveling, watching movies, and finding solace and joy in the simple moments spent with his family and friends. He was an avid fisherman, crabber, and golfer.
Larry will be dearly missed by his beloved wife, Alicia Allen, of 50 years, his children, Shana Spiller (Jimmy), and Larry Allen Jr. (Gustavia). His 5 grandchildren, Shania Spiller, Jamie Spiller, Devereaux Allen, Ayana Allen, and Nathaly Allen, extended family, and friends. He touched the lives of so many and will be remembered fondly for his kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit.
Larry Allen Sr. may have left this world, but his love and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
