Larry Charles Bishop's Obituary
Larry Charles Bishop, 68, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015. He is preceded in death by his mother, Louella Bishop. Larry is survived by his father, Charles Bishop; his loving wife of 47 years, Annie Bishop; sons, Trent Bishop, Chad E. Bishop and wife, Christina; brothers, Randy and Robby Bishop; sisters, Linda Bishop, Janet Taylor, Julie Lopez and husband, Terry; grandchildren, Morgan and Cody Bishop; and a host of other family and friends.
Larry grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana and set the high school state record in 1964 for the quarter mile. He loved spending time outdoors fishing and hunting. Larry served as a scout leader for Trent and Chad as they were growing up and took great pride in them both achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. Not many people knew it, but, he is was an amazing artist and loved to draw and paint. Larry loved his children and grandchildren dearly and cherished spending time with them. The love of his life was wife, Annie. On the night that he passed away, he was still the devoted and concerned husband checking on his wife and her status as they were both admitted to the hospital. Larry will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
The visitation and rosary for Larry will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm with the rosary recited at 6:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral mass will take place Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Rd., Pearland, Texas 77581 with Father James Courville officiating. Interment will follow at Alvin Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, Texas.
