View Tribute Book Leslie “Les” Eugene Rowell, Jr. of College Station (formerly of Houston), passed away peacefully on January 17 surrounded by family. Les was born on August 14, 1945 in Beaumont, Texas to Leslie ”Gene” Rowell Sr. and Joy Nell Dudley Rowell.He attended school in Beaumont and Longview, later going on to attend Kilgore Junior College, University of Houston, and South Texas School of Law. While attending law school, he began working for a commercial developer where he began his lifelong love for and career in commercial construction. Les enjoyed a number of adventurous hobbies to include riding motorcycles, Corvettes, sailing and the most recent was off-roading in his Jeeps. He was preceded in death by his parents Gene and Joy Nell Rowell, and Velma Snell Rowell. The mother of his daughters, Judy Lynn Short and his son, Leslie Eugene Rowell III. Les is survived by his daughters Andrea Rowell Kelly and Amanda Cano, grandson Todd “Landon” Bailey, great-granddaughter Blair Dylan Bailey. He is also survived by his loving brothers Glen Snell (Rita), Dan Snell (Wendy), numerous nieces and nephews, and the mother of his only son, Renee McGuire.So many adventures and many stories and laughs. While reflecting on Les’ life, his brother put it best “He did it his way!”Visitation and services will be held at Clayton Funeral Home in Pearland, TX on Friday, January 24th at 12pm. There will be a private burial at South Park Cemetery in Pearland.
