View Tribute Book Leta Katherine Hutson Money, 88, of LaPorte, Texas, passed away peacefully at her residence after a lengthy battle with dementia on March 25, 2024. Leta was the first born to the late Claude and Katie Hutson. She was a graduate of LaPorte High School class of 1954. Leta was a housewife, mother, and studied to become a beautician. She worked hard as the owner of Bayshore Hair Fashion in the 70’s. later, she worked for the City of LaPorte in the Public Works and Inspection departments where she retired after 25 years of faithful service. Leta loved music from Bob Wills to Ronnie Milsap, anything Texas, and traveling. She enjoyed dancing, sewing, knitting, camping, and spending time with her family. Leta will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Left to cherish Leta’s memory are her husband, Cecil H. Money; sons, Charles Brown Jr, and Cecil Money; daughters, Cathy Brown and Melissa Pedder; sisters, Carolyn Hutson, Dorothy Morrison, and Marilyn Minor; grandchildren, Chad, Jeremy, Amber, Daniel, and Jason; great grandchildren, Heaven, Libby, Tyson, Bennett, and Penelope; along with a host of other family and friends.
