Lloyd Smith, 74, of La Porte passed away Sunday January 10, 2010. He was born January 13, 1935 in Beaumont, Texas to Marjorie and Edgar Smith, Sr. He was a member of the Pearland Amateur Radio Club and St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Lloyd is survived by his wife Phyllis Smith, Children Maria Poole and Frank, Mona Goines and Fred, Teresa Dykes, Harvey Smith and Dana, Lloyd Smith, Jr., Kevin Marlow, William Dykes, sisters Margie Garza and Ray, Karon Gary and Ben, Glenda Henninger and David, grandchildren Joshua Smith, Jeremiah Smith, Angel Goines, Fred Goines Jr. and Tiffany, Victoria Wilson, Samantha Briones and Angel, Alicia Kemmil and Brandon, Chris Richards, Kyra Marlow, and great grandchildren Elena Wilson, Monica Wilson, Ransom Goines, Harlee Nelms, and Tyler Nelms.
Visitation will be held Wednesday January 13, 2009 at 8:30AM-10:30AM at Paul U. Lee La Porte Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 11AM at Grand View Memorial Park.
