She was born on January 22, 1938, in Burton, Texas to Arnold and Dora Buck.Lucille is survived by her devoted daughter, Susan McElya, and son-in-law John. She is also remembered by her daughter-in-law, Natalie McNulty, and her cherished grandchildren: Courtney Burgess, Cody McElya, Cara Gripp, Christopher McElya, and Ellen Stephenson, and six great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Billy Dabbs, and her son, Micheal Dabbs and parents, Arnold Buck, and Dora Buck Bresler.Lucille was a dedicated member of Shadycrest Baptist Church, where she found comfort, solace, and a sense of community. Her faith played a significant role in her life, providing her with strength and purpose.Professionally, Lucille made a lasting impact during her 27 years of service at Pearland State Bank, where she dedicated herself to her work until her well-deserved retirement in 2004.Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the visitation on Thursday, January 18th, 2024, which will be held at Clayton Funeral Home in Pearland at 10:00 a.m. A funeral service to celebrate Lucille's life will follow at 11:00 a.m. with a graveside service immediately after. The graveside service will take place at South Park Cemetery.Lucille Ann Dabbs will be remembered for her kindness, resilience, and unwavering love for her family. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love and memories she leaves behind.
