Lucy R Cavallaro's Obituary
Lucy R. Cavallaro, 88, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna Rota. Lucy is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Alfred Cavallaro; son, Joseph Cavallaro and wife, Ann-Marie; grandchildren, Emilia Cavallaro and Frederick Cavallaro; and a host of other family and friends.
Lucy was a wonderful lady, a lovely wife, and an affectionate mother and grandmother. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and attended West Philadelphia Catholic Girls High School. Lucy worked for Penn Mutual Insurance Company in Philadelphia. Lucy loved music and attended the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia where she became formally trained. She played piano, sang soprano, and was a member of the choir of several churches. Lucy enjoyed painting, sewing, and designing clothes. She was an amazing Italian cook and enjoyed cooking for her family. She and Alfred relocated to Pearland, Texas in 1998 to be closer to their family. Lucy loved her pets, Trooper, Champy, and Polly dearly and they were always by her side. She was an avid reader and especially loved reading the classics. Lucy was very proud of her family and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Services for Lucy will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, Texas 77581. The visitation will begin at 9:00 am and the service will follow at 10:00 am with Father James Courville officiating. Interment will follow at Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
