Lyndel Marie Hebert's Obituary
On January 16, 2022, our beloved Lyndel Marie Hebert was warmly welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus.
Lyndel was born on December 14, 1945 in Houston, Texas to Robert and Lucy Hebert, the third of their five children. Lyndel is preceded in death and now reunited with her father, her mother, her sister Kathy Lauer, and her brother Robert Hebert Jr. She now watches over her sister Mary Anne Wainer, her sister and brother-in-law Peggy and Deacon Steve Griesmyer, her cousins, her nieces and nephews, and her many dear friends.
Lyndel had resided in Pearland for many years. She had a long, successful career as a coach and teacher at Pearland Junior High East. Lyndel dearly loved being a coach and was always happy to share funny stories about “her kids” even after she retired. She especially enjoyed visiting with her friends,”the Dirty Dozen” every month.
Lyndel was a big sports fan, watching the Astros religiously. She moved to Dallas for several years and was a devoted Cowboy fan. Lyndel had a passion for history. She enjoyed traveling, her favorite of which was her visit to England because she said it felt like “coming home.” Lyndel was an outstanding cook. She was a strong Catholic and a longtime parishioner of St. Helen Church. No matter what challenges arose in her life, Lyndel trusted that God would guide her through. She was known and loved for her heart of gold and her positive attitude.
She will be dearly missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
