Manuela Cano Garcia's Obituary
Manuela Cano Garcia, 80, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan Cano and Maria Jimenez; husband, Jesus R. Garcia; brother, Juan Jimenez; and sister, Susana Jimenez. Left to cherish Manuela’s memory are her sons, Fidel Garcia, Jesus Garcia; daughters, Maria Ortiz, Matilde Gonzalez, Leonor Castillo, and her son-in-laws; brothers, Luis Jimenez, Jesus Jimenez; sister, Maria Rios; grandchildren, Gerardo, Xenia, Myranda, Alberto, Lauren, Matthew; great granddaughter, Alaina; a host of many other dear family and friends, and her beloved Husky, Afgnak.
Our beloved Manuela, however, most knew her as Nela, was a devout Christian, wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to serve the Lord and believed in the unity of family. Nela had many talents, she loved to cook, sew, make floral arrangements, and was very thrifty with her resources. Nela had a huge heart, always saw the good in people, and never knew a stranger. Every person in the world, to her, was just a friend she hadn’t met yet. She enjoyed spending time with her circle of friends as much as she did befriending new friends. Nela loved celebrating birthdays and special occasions with her family. She enjoyed traveling to see family in Monterrey Mexico. Nela also loved being outdoors. The sounds of the ocean and listening to the birds chirping where incredibly special to her. Nela saw the wonders of God in everything. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services for Manuela will be held on January 2, 2021, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm. The funeral service is scheduled at 12:30 pm, with Pastor Joe Gonzales officiating. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery, in Pearland Texas.
