View Tribute Book Marcil Fakhari Bushara went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 10th, 2024, at the age of 74. Marcil is preceded in death by her parents, Fakhari and Mary (Wisa) Bushara, and her sister, Evelin “Fofa” Bushara. Left to cherish Marcil’s memory are her loving husband of 52 years, Ernest Gobran; sons, Romani Gobran and wife Nancy, Peter Gobran and wife Princy, and Tony Gobran; daughter, Elizabeth Gobran Gargas and husband Michael; brother, Victor Bushara and wife Muna; grandchildren, Magdalena Gobran, Gabriella Gobran, Daniel Gobran, Juliana Gobran, and Rachel Gobran; along with a host of other family and friends. Marcil was affectionately known as “Mama,” “Teta,” and “Sula” by her family and friends. She devoted her time to her family and loved them all dearly. Marcil centered her life around caring for her husband and children. As a woman of strong faith, Marcil served her church and found peace through prayer. She enjoyed making delicious meals and took great delight in feeding others. She had a servant’s heart - a heart of gold, humility, and grace. Marcil’s favorite pastime was visiting the beach and sitting along the shore with the sand burying her feet. Despite her fear of swimming, she loved the water and could spend hours in it. She spent most of her extra time crocheting and poured her love into making beautiful items for others. Marcil was a true light who radiated with sincerity, kindness, and humor. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A funeral service will be held for Marcil on Monday, July 15th, 2024, at St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church (424 Mulberry Ln., Bellaire, TX 77401). Services will commence at 11:00 am, with interment to follow at Houston Memorial Gardens in Pearland, Texas.
