Margaret A McBride's Obituary
Margaret McBride, 100, of Houston passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020. Preceding her in death are husband, Anerson McBride; parents, Clarence and Josephine Guthrey; daughter, Janice Redding; brothers, Glenn and Bill Guthrey. Left with cherished memories are her sons, John McBride and Mark McBride and wife, Kathleen Becan-McBride; daughter, Robyne McBride; grandchildren, Jason Seydler and wife, Yadira; Laura Sciubba, Patrick McBride, Noah McBride and wife, Xochilt and Jonathan McBride and wife, Danielle; great grandchildren, Vivian, Vanessa, Andrew, Finnaveir, Madeleine, Mitchell, Luke, Isabella, Kai, Jake, Jack and Madeline as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Margaret was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that cherished spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening and cooking her special recipes for family occasions. Sundays were always reserved for family time together where they would share a fantastic meal and spend time sharing stories. Margaret had a welcoming smile and a warm hug for everyone that entered her home. In her younger years, she loved to travel and visited Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean with her husband, Mac. Margaret loved animals and had many dogs throughout the years including her latest companions, Tiffany and Belle, who always stayed by her side. She enjoyed watching birds and made sure the feeder in the backyard was always full for her feathered visitors. Margaret will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers the family of Margaret McBride has asked that donations be made to any Veterans Group of your choice.
A visitation to celebrate the life of Margaret McBride will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Clayton Funeral Home Chapel, 201 South 3rd Street, La Porte, Texas 77571. A graveside service has been set for 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Mimosa-Pines Cemetery in Sulphur, LA.
