Maria Elena Castillo's Obituary
Maria Elena Castillo, 62, passed way August 19, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, Guillermo and Basilisa Fernandez. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, of 46 years, Ezequiel Castillo; sons, Ricardo Castillo and wife Sandra, and Ezequiel Castillo and wife Karla; daughters, Martha Acevedo and husband, Gerardo, Rosalba Rodrigues and husband, Carlos, and Maribel Velazquez and husband, Oscar; brothers, Maclovio Fernandez, Gerardo Fernandez, Jose Hernandez, and Alfredo Hernandez; sisters, Margarita Ruiz, and Gloria Fernandez; seventeen grandchildren, and a host of other dear family and friends.
María Elena was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family. She loved to cook and gather the family together for any occasion. María Elena always had a strong will and even though she wouldn’t feel so good she would not miss any party or gathering. She loved getting flowers and plants and enjoyed taking care of her garden. María Elena will be missed by all of those who knew her and loved her so much, may she Rest In Peace .
A visitation and Rosary will be held for Maria on Monday, August 24, 2020, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, in Pearland, Texas, 77581. The visitation will take place from 5:30 – 8:00 pm, with the Rosary recited at 6:00 pm. The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at 10:00 am, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 10727 Hartsook St, Houston Texas, 77034. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, in Houston, Texas.
