Mark Hadley's Obituary
Mark Aron Hadley, 81, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Vera Stewart Hadley; beloved wife of 23 years Shirley Poland Hadley; brothers Ernest, Richard and Murray Hadley; sister Glenda Wiggins; and stepson Bill Poland. Mark is survived by his sisters Winnie Bell Heathcock, Velma Sessions and husband Dallas, Ruby Long ,sister in law Ruby Jewel Hadley, brother in law Pete Wiggins as well as multiple nephews and nieces in Alabama and Houston; stepson Curtis Poland and wife Susan; stepdaughters Vanessa Castro, and Marion Loftin and her husband D.L.; grandchildren Angela Hemphill and husband Clint, Brian Loscuito, Dawn Turner and husband Todd, Steven Loftin and wife Nikki, Amanda Boyd, Dillon Perry, Darren Perry, and Willie Poland; great-grandchildren Paige, Sydney, Kylie, Shelby, Colton, Cayla, Hadleigh, and Kyrah; along with a host of many other family and friends.
Mark was born and raised in lower Alabama in 1940. In 1955 he moved to the Houston area, and became an avid Astros fan. Mark was married to Shirley for 23 years and worked as a pipefitter with the Local 211 for 50 years. Mark was good with his hands and could fix or make anything. He was a kind man, strong in his Christian faith, and never met a stranger. Mark was very involved with the CF Spencer and Archives Masonic and Eastern Star lodges, was a Shriner Past Master, and a Worthy Patron of Eastern Star. He enjoyed going to visit the sick or home bound. Mark will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
