Mary Louise Freiley's Obituary
Mary Louise Freiley, 82, a longtime resident of Pearland, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021. She was born on February 1, 1939, in Holland, Texas. Mary graduated from Scott White nursing school in 1959, the same year she married the love of her life, Robert Eugene Freiley. They resided in the Houston area at that time and moved to Pearland in 1966. Mary had a servant’s heart and genuinely enjoyed helping others as a registered nurse, later in her career she joined the heart team at Bayshore Hospital.
Mary and Robert enjoyed 48 beautiful years together, and they loved to travel whenever they could. Mary loved her family dearly and was always very generous in doing things for them as well as for others. She was affectionately known as “Gammer” by her grandchildren. Mary will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents John and Vada Burns; loving husband, Robert Eugene Freiley; sons Robert Blair Freiley, Clifton Eugene Freiley; brother Don Wayne Burns; grandchildren Trista Freiley, and Mark Resnick. She is survived by her daughter Caryn Resnick and husband, Peter; sister-in-law Glenda; grandchildren Chris Casey, Sofia Resnick, Joshua Resnick, Katie Norris, Jared Freiley, Bradley Freiley; eleven great grandchildren, and a host of other dear family and friends.
