Q: What will you never forget about Mary?
A: I will never forget my Aunt Mary, who was not only my aunt but also my Godmother. She was one of the two most important women in my life, both of them strong and at times stern, but always showing me and my son Kurtis an unwavering love. Losing my parents at a young age, Aunt Mary became like a second mother to me, and I’m so grateful for the role she played in my life.
She loved both me and Kurtis so deeply. I’ll always cherish the memories we made together—whether we were playing games like Black Panther, going to yard and garage sales, hunting for treasures in thrift stores and dollar shops, or working in her beautiful garden surrounded by all of her plants. Every moment with her was special, and I will miss her more than words can express.
Aunt Mary, I love you, and I’ll carry your memory in my heart until we meet again.
